Sereno

Gonzalo Cervantes, artistically known as Sereno, is a Mexican electronic music producer and DJ with over 23 years of experience in the scene. Based in Tepoztlán, his sonic identity is defined by a hypnotic, organic, and deeply immersive approach. His style fuses progressive basslines, tribal-rooted atmospheres, and rhythms that flow seamlessly between slow techno and downtempo, shaping soundscapes that connect the physical with the introspective.

Sereno's musical vision transcends mere movement, inviting listeners into a full sensory experience where texture, space, and storytelling are central. Each of his sets and productions unfolds as a gradual journey, marked by subtle progression and contained energy, designed to forge a deep connection between the dancefloor and its environment. As a master engineer, he brings precision and depth to his work, often handling production behind the scenes.

He is co-founder of the label FrequenSeed Music alongside Eduardo Arenas (V-Lam Beat), a platform dedicated to organic, forward-thinking, and consciously explorative sounds in alternative electronic music. Sereno is also one half of the duo Wasisunqu with V-Lam Beat, expanding his creative spectrum into ethnic, experimental, and ritualistic territories.

His music has been released on respected labels in the global electronic scene, including Baikal Nomads, Kosa Records, New Latam Beats, Shango Records, El Santuario Music, Planet Ibiza, Camel VIP Records, and his own FrequenSeed Music, establishing a consistent presence in the international underground circuit.

With a solid career trajectory, Sereno has performed at numerous events and dancefloors, renowned for his ability to read the space, sustain atmosphere, and guide collective energy through coherent, deep, and carefully curated selections. Notable performances include Festival Ometeotl (2018, 2022), Baacab (2022), Baikal Nomads Label Party (2021), Cosmic Convergence Guatemala (2018), and FrequenSeed Revelations at El Mango (2018).
