Wasisunqu is a Mexican electronic music duo from Tepoztlán, Morelos, whose name in Quechua means “the path to the heart.” Their sound merges progressive, tribal, and psychedelic elements with deep melodies and ambient textures, creating sonic landscapes where mysticism, nature, and spirituality converge.
The project was founded in January 2018 within the collective and label FrequenSeed Music. Since then, Wasisunqu has maintained a steady flow of releases, collaborations, and performances, establishing itself as a distinctive voice in Mexico’s downtempo and psybient scene.

The Members

Gonzalo Cervantes (Sereno)
Electronic music producer with over 20 years of experience in the Mexican scene and founder of FrequenSeed Music. He has brought his sound to national and international stages, collaborating with artists such as Leo Pa’Layeng, Ishdub, and Kaya Project. His work focuses on immersive atmospheres, progressive structures, and psychedelic textures that form the conceptual backbone of Wasisunqu. His vision of music as a journey sustains the project’s narrative depth and spiritual dimension.

Eduardo Arenas (V-Lam Beat)
Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and co-founder of FrequenSeed Music. Recognized for blending organic instrumentation with digital production, he contributes guitars, flutes, melodic arrangements, and experimental sound design, bringing warmth, mysticism, and human presence to the project. Alongside Wasisunqu, he develops solo work, remixes, and collective collaborations. His versatility bridges the ritual and the cosmic, making him a central creative force in the duo’s sonic identity.

Live & Production
Wasisunqu’s live performances are immersive rituals combining loops, vocal samples, guitars, flutes, percussion, synthesizers, and experimental sound design. Each show unfolds as a real-time dialogue between digital and organic elements, shaping atmospheres that move between the tribal and the intergalactic.
